Protective Aids for Working with Epoxies
An integral part of working with epoxy or any other resin is the use of protective equipment and care for Occupational safety. Casting of epoxy resin, working with pigment powders, or machining epoxy castings requires some protection of the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. For prolonged exposure to liquid hardening epoxy resin, use adequate respiratory protection. Respiratory protection against dust particles and eye protection is neccesary during sanding of the castings. You will need eye, skin (nitrile gloves) and respiratory protection for working with chemicals (especially hardeners). Do not underestimate the protective aids while casting resin and protect your health. Follow the manufacturers' recommendations, read their information in the package leaflets, or feel free to ask if you have any questions.
