VEROPAL LAM AERO 45 is a clear two-component solvent-free epoxy resin with hardener for fast lamination of composite materials. Developed for the aerospace, shipbuilding and sports equipment industries. It has a lower viscosity, it is self-levelling. Saturates lamination fabrics well. It has very low shrinkage when cured. Short processing time, the casting is hard. It can be easily colored, or partially filled. It is beautifully liquid, odorless, with a simple mixing ratio.

Usage:

• Fast lamination of composite materials - fast repairs.
• Manufacturing of composite parts in aircraft modelling, shipbuilding and sports equipment.
• Suitable for manual lamination, winding lamination, RTM/RIM/SCRMP process and infusion.

Properties of uncured system:

• Mixing ratio 100 : 32 by weight,
• Viscosity at 25 °C – 250-450 mPa.s,
• Density at 23 °C – 1.07-1.1 g/cm3,
• Tintable yellowish liquid,
• Geltime at 25 °C in 50 g – 40-60 min.,
• Geltime at 25 °C in 100 g – 35-55 min.,
• Workability at 25 °C in 100 g – <30 min./50 g,
• Workability at 25 °C in 400 g – <20 min./100 g.

Mechanical properties of the cured system:

• Bending modulus – 3330-3450 MPa,
• Bending strength – 130-145 MPa,
• Bending extention – 6-8 %,
• E modulus, tension – 3000-3400 MPa,
• Tensile strength – 60-40 MPa,
• Tensile extension – 3-6 %,
• Tg (DMA) – 95-105°C
• Tg (DSC) – 105-120°C
• Water absorption in 24 hours – 0.11%
• Water absorption after 7 days – 0.41%

Packaging: 1.32 kg, 6.6 kg and 13.2 kg.
