Hand Sanding and Polishing of Epoxide and Wood
For manual sanding of epoxy surfaces and wood, we recommend using Super Assilex sanding formats from Kovax with proper grit sizes. When sanding, we proceed from the roughest abrasive Super Assilex K240, then 320, 360, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200 up to K1500 at each roughness. Kovax Buflex Dry abrasives with K2000, K2500 and K3000 grits are used for very fine sanding. Don't push too much!
For larger flat surfaces, sand with a Super Assilex hand block equipped with a 9710094 hard pad or super hard pad 8852197 and for Super Assilex formats from K240 to K600, from K800 to K1500 use a soft pad 9710025. For rounded surfaces or radius, sand only with a 9710025 pad on all grits from K240 to K1500. Fine sanding with Kovax Buflex Dry with grits K2000, K2500 and K3000 requires an ultra-soft pad 9710060.
