VEROPAL PEN 10 is a two-component fast-curing, transparent epoxy resin used as a penetrating coating to seal the surface of wood so that air cannot escape from the wood into the cured resin when epoxies are cast. It is used both for highly absorbent surfaces, porous surfaces or for the surface stabilization of slightly rotted wood, as well as on solid cohesive substrates. Production of repair putty for wood. It hardens quickly, the casting is clear and very hard. It is very fluid, with a simple mixing ratio and practically odorless. It can be easily colored.

This system is compatible with casting epoxy resins VEROPAL.

Features:

• Viscosity at 25 °C – 450-600 mPa.s.
• Density at 23 °C – 1.07 g/cm3.
• Appearance – clear slightly yellowish liquid.
• Colorability – suitable and compatible dyes and pigments.
• Maximum layer thickness – 1-3 mm.
• Maximum casting volume – 1 L.
• Workability time – <10 min/0.5 kg.
• Gelation time – depending on temperature, humidity, etc. – average is 1 hour.
• Curing time, touch-dry – 3 hours.
• Curing time – 5 hours.
• Shrinkage – low.
• Working temperature – 19-23 °C; possibly even lower, curing time will be extended.
• Hardness after hardening – 82 ShD.
• Appearance after curing – glassy.
