In the vast majority of cases, when painting wood with a colorless varnish or oil, the color of the natural wood changes – for example, oak wood darkens and acquires a yellowish shade, or popular scratched surfaces or dark woods such as American walnut darken irreversibly. The second layer is left to dry for 16-24 hours, lightly sanded with 220-grit sandpaper and the surface is cleaned of dust. Then the last third layer is applied and left to dry again for 24 hours.
